Ahmedabad Tennis Premier League (ATPL) Rules and Regulations 2025
The following rules and regulations apply to the Ahmedabad Tennis Premier League (ATPL) team championship tournament, scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad from February 6 to February 16, 2025. By submitting your team and player names to ATPL, all teams and participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
1. Format
•ATPL will follow a league match format.
•A maximum of 16 teams will participate in the tournament.
2.Team Composition
•Each team must have a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 10 players.
3.Player Eligibility
•Participants must be aged 35 or older in 2025 (born on or before December 31, 1990).
4.Match Rules
•Each round will consist of 1 singles match and 3 doubles matches.
•Players cannot be repeated in the same match.
5.League Qualification
•The top 8 teams with the highest number of points/games in league matches will qualify for the knockout stages, including quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals.
6.Random Players
•Randomly assembled player teams are not allowed.
7.Scoring System
•Each match will include 4 ties (1 singles and 3 doubles).
•A total of 13 games will be played per tie, with each game worth 1 point.
8.Team Uniform
•Teams must procure their uniforms from the designated vendor to ensure uniformity in color and design, as per ATPL requirements.
•A dress code is mandatory for ATPL 2025.
9.Prize Money
•Total prize money: ₹1.40 lakh, distributed as follows:
•Winner: ₹55,000
•Runner-up: ₹45,000
•Second Runner-up: ₹40,000
•Prize money distribution will comply with applicable government regulations.
10.Entry Fee
•The entry fee is ₹35,000, payable by cheque to “Neon Sports Foundation”.
11.Referee Charges
•An additional fee of ₹3,000 will be charged for referee services.
12.Age Violation
•If a player is found to be underage, the team will forfeit all matches involving the ineligible player. Opponent teams will be awarded all 13 games of the affected matches.
13.Walkover Matches
•In case of a walkover, the winning team will be awarded all 13 games.
14.Court Usage Agreement
•Participating teams/clubs must agree to allow ATPL to use two courts at their venue for tournament matches.
15.Code of Conduct
•Teams must maintain sportsmanship and respect the rules of all venues.
•Any team found misbehaving may face disciplinary action from the managing committee.
16.Fair Play
•Academies must ensure a healthy and fair playing environment for all matches.
17.Match Timing
•Matches will begin at 7:00 AM (reporting time: 6:45 AM).
•All matches must be played on the scheduled date and time.
•Teams with fewer players may use Canadian doubles to complete the match.
•Match scores must be submitted to the committee by 12:00 PM.
18.ITF Rules
•All matches will adhere to ITF tennis rules.
•Officials’ decisions will be final and binding.
19.Dispute Resolution
•Participants must avoid aggressive or prolonged discussions with officials.
•Issues or feedback should be submitted in writing to the ATPL committee after the match.
•Misconduct on or off the court will result in strict action.
20.Knockout Schedule
•The quarterfinal matchups will be announced after all teams are confirmed.
21.Rule Changes
•The ATPL management reserves the right to modify rules and regulations without prior notice for the betterment of the tournament.
22.Tennis Balls
•ITF-approved tennis balls will be provided by ATPL.
23.Schedule and Venue
•The schedule, timing, and venue are subject to change as required.
24.GSTA Membership
•All participants must be registered members of the Gujarat State Tennis Association (GSTA).
25.Final Authority
•The ATPL managing committee’s decisions will be final and binding on all teams and participants.
